I am Dr. Robert G. Marx. Welcome to my dental practice.

I sincerely believe that a healthy and attractive smile is very important to our overall health and happiness. I have dedicated my life to improving the health and appearance of smiles and making the dental experience comfortable and rewarding for my dental patients in the Kansas City area.

Many patients who have come to my practice mention that my practice is unique in a number of ways. They mention the friendly and caring feel of our practice, the willingness of the staff and myself to listen to them and make them feel at home. They also frequently are impressed with our completely up to date dental office, the best in current technology, and the professionalism of my outstanding staff.

I have gathered together a staff of friendly , intelligent, talented dental team members who share my passion for high quality dental care, a friendly environment and long lasting relationships with our patients. I also have found that my patients appreciate the fact that they can find all phases of dental care delivered in our office including:

The Team

Dr Marx and Dr Arjes are general dentists with extensive training in braces, ClearCorrect, and root canals.  In addition, Dr Marx has done advanced training in placement of implants, full mouth dental reconstruction, laser dentistry using Waterlase, periodontal treatment and cosmetic dentistry.  

Dr Marx and Dr Arjes have helped hundreds of people return their mouths to a healthy, beautiful condition and a smile they are proud of.  There is nothing wrong with wanting a more youthful, whiter, healthier smile.  Dr Marx has the training and experience to provide you with this.

Dr Robert Marx has been a lifelong resident of Kansas City.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City.  He received his dental degree from the University of Missouri Kansas City in 1977.  He has a wife, Terri Marx  and 2 children. 

Dr. Marx loves dentistry as a profession and continues to take further training and continuing education to not only stay up-to-date but on the cutting edge of dental technology.  In 1993 he trained to provide orthodontics as a general dentist.  In 1999 he trained and was certified to place implants and deliver the cosmetic dentistry associated with it.  In 2003, he took training on delivery of ClearCorrect, clearbraces.  In 2005, he took training and began to incorporate laser dentistry in his practice.  This laser is used both for periodontal or gum tissue but also treatment of cavities.  

Dr. Marx personal interests include studying history in many subject areas, boating, hiking, photography and writing.  

Dr. Marx is very committed to family and his community.  For example, he is the founder of the annual Have A Heart Program in Kansas City in which he provides free dental cleanings and exams for underprivileged children through who no fault of their own have not received dental care.  He has helped more than 2000 children since 1987.  

Dr. Marx and his wife Terri have also sponsored other programs, such as Set A Good Example Contest where school children learn and apply moral precepts in their lives.   This program was sponsored in all elementary schools in the Kansas City School district.  Over the years, several schools have been acknowledged nationally.  These schools and this program were then recognized by Mayor Cleaver.

My implant procedure was surprisingly easy from start to finish. In fact right after I had the first part of my implant done, I went to the pharmacy to fill my prescription anticipating the pain to start soon thereafter, however, it never did! I never needed one pain pill! The next time I saw Dr. Marx I suggested that perhaps he had forgotten to do the implant at all!

I am so very pleased with the whole experience you have provided me. I delayed the whole process because I dreaded what I feared would likely be an unpleasant (and painful) experience.
