Should I have an apicoectomy or extraction?
There is an infection near teeth 13 and 14. Both need an apicoectomy, per the endodontist. I am on penicillin and took a CBCT. X-rays did not show any broken roots in these two teeth. Both teeth have had root canals. Is extraction better/safer in my case? Or, should I go with the endodontist's recommendation?

Can a Root Canal cause infection 20 years later?
My molar has been very sensitive since a root canal almost 20 years ago. Now that tooth (or gums around it) is draining pus. Could this be caused by a broken instrument from the old root canal (which the dentist has confirmed)?

Root canal or tooth extraction?
I am in a bind, as I do not have dental insurance at the moment, and I've got an infection in my mouth from a broken filling or fractured tooth. The dentist insists I have a root canal, but that is financially impossible right now, since he wants payment in full with the completion of the work - and I don't have the money. I am taking amoxicillin to kill the infection. Could I wait till I have a new job and insurance to get the root canal, or would an extraction be cheaper right now? I'm a 44 year old woman. Thank you
